Sec. 31-136. Promotion of employment. The Labor Commissioner shall carry on a continuing program to promote the employment of persons with disabilities by creating state-wide interest in the rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities and by obtaining and maintaining cooperation from all public and private groups in this field.

Sec. 31-137. Receipt of gifts and donations. The Labor Commissioner is authorized to receive any gifts, grants or donations made for any of the purposes of any program under this chapter and to disburse and administer the same in accordance with the terms thereof.

Sec. 31-138. National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The Governor shall proclaim the month of October of each year to be “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” to recognize and celebrate businesses who employ individuals with disabilities and to encourage other businesses to do so to reduce the unemployment rate of individuals with disabilities.
