Veterans' Home at Rocky Hill: Residential Services
This study examined the operations of the Veterans' Home under the Connecticut Department of Veterans' Affairs to ensure its residential services are delivered fairly and adequately. The processes for admitting, discharging, and transferring residents, as well as resolving residents' complaints and implementing conduct rules, were also reviewed.
Status
The PRI committee approved the study topic on April 17, 2014, and the study scope on May 15, 2014. On October 1, 2014, committee staff presented an interim update to PRI, which was followed by two informational public hearings, one in Hartford and one at the Veterans’ Home in Rocky Hill.
On Friday, December 19, 2014, PRI staff presented final study findings and proposed recommendations to the committee for its discussion and action. The committee approved the report and recommendations unanimously. The final committee report is below.
