This study described and evaluated the processes the state uses to prevent, detect, and recover any improper payments in the Medicaid program due to fraud,
abuse, and errors. In addition, the study examined state procedures used to investigate providers suspected of fraud and abuse, as well as any resulting sanctions. |

The final published report approved by the committee on December 20, 2012 along with agency comments is available under Products. A public hearing on the study was held on June 29, 2012 (Testimony by Hearing Date, Non-Bill Testimony and Public Hearing Transcripts).
