Farmland Preservation Program: RBA Analysis |
The study focused on the effectiveness of the Department of Agriculture's Farmland Preservation Program (FPP) in protecting agricultural lands for current and future
farming and food production. Employing a results-based accountability approach, the study assessed how well the program is meeting its
statutory purpose of preserving prime farmland. The contribution lands obtained through the program make to state goals for agricultural production was also determined. |

The final published report approved by the committee on December 18, 2012 along with agency comments is available under Products. A public hearing on the study was held on September 25, 2012 (Testimony by Hearing Date, Non-Bill Testimony and Public Hearing Transcripts).
