Funeral Directors & Regulation of Hearing Aid Dealers
This study reviewed: 1) the Board of Examiners of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, and 2) the regulation of hearing aid dealers, two of 27 state entities and programs set to terminate on July 1, 2013 under Connecticut’s sunset law. Carrying out PRI’s statutory role in assessing performance of and continued need for the entities prior to their sunset date, the current sunset law criteria was applied and compared with Results Based Accountability (RBA) assessment questions. Overall changes to the sunset law to improve its efficiency and effectiveness were considered.
