What Happens After a Bill is Passed?
The Legislative Library is open daily from 8:30 – 5:00 in the interim. During the sessions we are open until 5:30 with extended hours when either House or Senate is in chambers.
The Legislative Library is a nonpartisan branch of the Connecticut General Assembly providing information services to legislators and General Assembly staff, other state agencies and the public. Legislative requests take priority over other requests and are treated as confidential.
Library staff cannot:
- Research voting records of legislators
- Give legal advice or interpret statutes
- Interpret legislative intent
- Certify public documents (contact the Connecticut State Library)
