Applications are now being accepted for the position of Certified Police Officer with the Connecticut State Capitol Police Department. State Capitol Police Officers patrol a seventeen acre campus in Downtown Hartford that includes the State Capitol and Legislative Office Buildings, garages and supporting State offices. We work in partnership with the City of Hartford and the State Police Departments. Applications will be accepted until January 7, 2016 to develop an eligibility list for a current certified officer opening.
Starting salary range for POSTC certified officers is $60,897, with a current maximum Senior Officer's salary of $73,400. Applications are available to be filled out online at www.policeapp.com.
The State Capitol Police Department's testing process includes but is not limited to: Written Test, Physical Agility Test, Oral Board, Chief's Interview, Background Investigation, Drug Screening Test, Polygraph Examination, Psychological Examination, and Medical Examination.
