Security Technicians

The State Capitol Police Department is seeking applications for two part time openings for the security technician position. Also a list will be kept for future anticipated openings. An eligibility list will be developed and utilized as positions become available. The anticipated openings will be for part time positions. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and possess a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in law enforcement, corrections, or military service. The hours vary by shift. The selection process will consist of a resume review, oral interviews, and a thorough background investigation. Applicants must possess a valid MV operator's license. The pay ranges from $17.66 - $22.47 per hour depending on experience. Additional information and applications are located on the State Capitol Police web site at www.cga.ct.gov/cop/ .
