"Notice is hereby given that the Norwalk Early Childhood Council announces the availability of the School Readiness Grant Program Local Request for Proposal (RFP) for the July 1, 2015- June 30, 2016 fiscal year. Eligible providers serving children ages 3 and 4 include licensed Norwalk center based childcare providers, Head Start-approved programs, NAEYC-accredited programs and programs not yet accredited. Also, NAEYC-accredited programs located outside town borders may apply.

"The Quality Enhancement Grant Program Local Request for Proposal is also available for the July 1, 2015–June 30, 2016 fiscal year. The purpose of the Quality Enhancement Grant Program is to provide funding for programs that focus on education and early care that address quality standards and/or expand comprehensive services for children and families.

"Contingent on Funding from the State of Connecticut, School Readiness Quality Enhancement (QE) grant, the Plymouth Early Childhood Council is seeking an individual or organization to assist the Council and its School Readiness sites. Priority will be given to applicants who have experience and knowledge with the State of Connecticut School Readiness grant(s). All applicants shall additionally have an Early Education background and extensive knowledge and experience in the CT Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS). Work would involve training and coaching of teachers. Interested parties should contact Donna Koser to receive a copy of the local Quality Enhancement Grant application.

"The Town of West Hartford is now accepting applications from individuals, agencies, or contractors that wish to compete for accessing or implementing the activities through Quality Enhancement Funds from our School Readiness Grant for the time period July 2015 - June 2016. This grant provides funds to for School Readiness Councils to identify individuals, agencies or contractors that are interested in providing professional development to community based and public school early childhood educators on the topic(s) of: Language Development, ProSocial Behaviors and/or Fine Motor Development. These priority areas have been identified through data collection. The grant amount is $3,790. Please contact Mary Stone to receive the local RFP to be considered for this professional development opportunity. Applications will be accepted through April 15, 2015.
