CCDC utilizes "The Creative Curriculum", a nationally recognized early childhood curriculum that is environmentally based, emergent and promotes active learning. This curriculum is based on teachers' observations of the children in their care; the observations are then used for planning lessons based on the interests and skill levels of the child.
The Creative Curriculum shows teachers how to work with children at each developmental level as they support cognitive learning by making activities increasingly and appropriately challenging. CCDC provides opportunities for children to experience a wide variety of activities that promote their social, emotional, intellectual, physical and artistic growth.
CCDC is nationally accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) which symbolizes that we have proven to meet or exceed the highest standards that exist for schools for young children. We believe that each child is an individual with unique abilities and that our teachers possess the knowledge and skills to implement age appropriate and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
We have been reaccredited through NAEYC in 2013.
