AN ACT CONCERNING THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT'S MARKET CONDUCT AUTHORITY AND DATA CALL CONFIDENTIALITY.

To (1) specify the governing procedures and definitions the Insurance Department may use to conduct market examinations, (2) specify the costs associated with market conduct examinations that domestic insurance companies and domestic health care centers are liable for, (3) establish immunity for persons conducting such examinations and provide for the confidentiality of examination reports, workpapers and other information obtained or reviewed by said department during such examination, and (4) authorize the issuance of data calls and provide for the confidentiality of data provided in response to data calls.
