AN ACT ESTABLISHING A STATE-WIDE PROGRAM FOR THE SAFE DISPOSAL OF SHARPS IN CONJUNCTION WITH PRESCRIPTION DRUG TAKE BACK DAYS.
To ensure that state residents have a safe and convenient way to dispose of sharps, thereby preventing potential harm to sanitation workers, the public and the environment and to support the broader public health and environmental safety efforts by addressing the growing need for safe sharps management in conjunction with existing prescription drug disposal programs.
