AN ACT PERMITTING A COMMUNITY SPOUSE OF AN INSTITUTIONALIZED SPOUSE TO RETAIN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF ALLOWABLE ASSETS.
To allow spouses of institutionalized Medicaid recipients to retain a greater share of marital assets in order to live independently longer in the community and save state costs related to institutionalization.
