AN ACT EXPANDING REQUIREMENTS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER TRAINING IN CRISIS INTERVENTION AND PROMOTING USE OF SOCIAL WORKERS WITHIN LAW ENFORCEMENT UNITS.
To ensure law enforcement officers receive training in crisis intervention techniques that allow officers to address the rise of incidences related to mental health and to provide officers with the tools they need for mental health awareness and crisis intervention in coordination with community partners.
