AN ACT CONCERNING THE ACQUISITION OF AN ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION COMPANY BY THE STATE.
To (1) create a committee to determine the value of an electric distribution company currently providing service in the state and the states of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, (2) empower the State Bond Commission to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, the proceeds of which shall be used to acquire such company by the state, and (3) empower said committee to sell any asset of such company located outside the state for the purpose of recovering financial expenditures in connection with the acquisition of such company.
