The transparency.CT.gov website was created in accordance with Public Act 10-155, An Act Requiring the Establishment of a Searchable Database for State Expenditures. This Public Act requires the Office of Fiscal Analysis to establish and maintain a website for the purpose of posting state agency expenditures, including contracts and grants.
The Office of Fiscal Analysis is required to submit annual reports to the Appropriations Committee. Section 97 of Public Act No. 12-1 (JSS), An Act Implementing Provisions for the State Budget for the Fiscal Year Beginning July 1, 2012 amended OFA's reporting requirements from quarterly to annually.
