AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPILING A LIST OF READING ASSESSMENTS.
To replace the Center for Literacy Research and Reading Success with the Department of Education in compiling a list of reading assessments for boards of education to identify students in kindergarten to grade three, inclusive, who are below proficiency in reading, provided any such reading assessments include frequent screening and progress monitoring of students.
