AN ACT CONCERNING ENERGY PROCUREMENTS, CERTAIN ENERGY SOURCES AND PROGRAMS OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY AUTHORITY.

To (1) permit the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to coordinate with other New England states to procure generation resources from a nuclear power generating facility for ten years following the end of existing agreements with a nuclear power generating facility; (2) authorize the electric distribution companies to use resources from a nuclear power generating facility to supply standard service if the procurement manager of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority approves; and (3) increase the maximum allowed contract length for wind procurements to thirty years.
