The amendment requires the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to reimburse the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) in the amount of $5,110,466 for fees associated with the discharge of contaminated wastewater from the Hartford landfill into sewers. The reimbursement must occur no later than October 1, 2019.
This requirement results in a cost to DEEP of $5,110,466 and a corresponding revenue gain to MDC in FY 19.
