Explanation

This amendment allows the Adjutant General to permit youth military organizations to use Military Department facilities at no cost and results in a potential cost to the state for operating expenses of these facilities. In FY 17 there were two youth military organizations who leased Military Department facilities for a total of $3,326. To the extent that the Adjutant General allows these groups to use the facilities there would be a cost to the state depending on the size of the facility, length of time it's being used, and if any additional or overtime staff are required.
