REASONS FOR BILL:

To direct the court regarding the suspension of delinquency proceedings for fire-starting behavior treatment.

The OCA respectfully offers content for these placeholder bills consistent with the recommendations submitted to committee members, namely to 1) improve transparency and accountability for DCF's current risk and safety assessment practices; 2) improving investigation and case planning for children with disabilities who are suspected or documented victims of abuse or neglect; and 3) improving transparency and accountability regarding incidents of abuse/neglect and institutional concerns in child-servicing facilities and institutions run by or licensed by the state of Connecticut.
