This bill requires the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to provide certain services to businesses that request a meeting with the agency before applying for permits, and requires DEEP to make reasonable efforts to schedule a meeting with the requestor within 30 days after receiving a request. Additionally, the bill requires DEEP to include certain information in its annual report to the legislature.

Neither of these provisions are anticipated to result in a fiscal impact, as DEEP has the expertise necessary to fulfill these requirements.

Senate “A” replaces the underlying bill with the provisions and impact described above.
