AN ACT CONCERNING THE DONATION OF BLOOD BY MINORS.

SUMMARY

This bill allows a 16-year-old, with his or her parent's or guardian's written authorization, to donate blood and consent to blood withdrawal at a voluntary blood donation program. Existing law, unchanged by the bill, allows a person age 17 or older to do so without parental or guardian consent.

EFFECTIVE DATE: July 1, 2018
