(Gavel) The House of Representatives is finally now in session. Will all members and guests please rise and direct your attention to our guest Chaplain, Katharine Lange.

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, this is a day that you have made so let us rejoice and be glad in it. Bless our legislators as they gather to labor in the best interests of the people of this State. Amen.

SPEAKER RYAN (139TH):

Grant A. Lewis of Glastonbury will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

GRANT A LEWIS:

(All) I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Yes, Mr. Speaker. The Clerk has a list of fair reports and House Bills to be tabled for the Calendar and printing.

The Chair recognizes the very late Representative Gresko of the 121st District.

REP. GRESKO (121ST):

Mr. Speaker I move that we waive the reading of the House favorable reports and Bills be tabled for the Calendar and printing.

SPEAKER RYAN (139TH):

Is there objection? Is there objection? Hearing no objection, so ordered.

CLERK:

Also, Mr. Speaker, the Clerk has a favorable report of the House Standing Committee on Government Administration and Elections Substitute Senate Bill No. 989 an Act CONCERNING THE STATE CONTRACTING STANDARDS FOR THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PRIVATIZATION CONTRACTS to be tabled for the Calendar and printing.
