(Gavel) The House of Representatives is now in session. Will all members and guests please rise and direct your attention to our guest Chaplain, Kerri E. Malloy of Wethersfield.

Lord, we thank You for your guidance as we gather today in this Chamber. Bless us as we work to serve the common good of Your people. Amen.

CLERK:

Yes, Mr. Speaker. The Clerk has a communication from His Excellency, the Governor, which is dated January 19, 2017. It is to the Honorable House of Representatives, nominating Lenny T. Winkler from Groton, to be a member of the Freedom of Information Commission.

SPEAKER ELLIOTT (88TH):

Refer to the House Committee on executive and legislative nominations.

CLERK:

Also, Mr. Speaker, the Clerk has a list of bills, number 11, dated January 19, 2017. Mr. Speaker, it is as corrected, removing House Bill Nos. 5875 and 5830.

SPEAKER ELLIOTT (88TH):

The Chair recognizes Representative Gentile of the 104th District.

REP. GENTILE (104TH):

Mr. Speaker, I move that we waive the reading of the bills as corrected and the bills be referred to the committees indicated.

SPEAKER ELLIOTT (88TH):

Is there objection? Hearing no objection, the list of bills as corrected, is referred.

Mr. Speaker, there is no further business on the Clerk's desk.
