(Gavel) The House of Representatives is now in session. Will all members and guests please rise and direct your attention to our guest Chaplain Kerri Malloy of Wethersfield. Kerri Malloy of Wethersfield will lead us in the Pledge of -- Oh, excuse me.

Good and Gracious God, make us the true voice of the people whom we represent. Allow us to serve them with wisdom, fairness, and compassion. Amen.

Kerry Malloy from Wethersfield will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Yes, Mr. Speaker. The Clerk has a communication from the Secretary of the State's office. It's dated January 10, 2017.

Dear Mr. Jortner: I am enclosing herewith the original of House Joint Resolution No. 304 of 2015 General Assembly entitled RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO PROTECT TRANSPORTATION FUNDS. The resolution was approved by a majority, but by less than three-fourths of the total membership of each House during the 2015 session of the General Assembly and is being returned for consideration by the 2017 regular session of the General Assembly, pursuant to Article Six of the Amendments to the Constitution of the State of Connecticut.
