'AN ACT CONCERNING HATE CRIMES', to increase penalties for hate crimes, provide that probation for hate crimes may include related community service, broaden threatening statutes to include threats directed against houses of worship, religious community centers and day care centers, broaden hate crimes to include bias against the gender of a person, establish a State-Wide Hate Crimes Advisory Council, establish text and telephone hotlines to provide assistance for persons inquiring about or reporting hate crimes with funding provided through a minimum fine structure for hate crimes and provide employees protections if they need limited time from work to care for a child whose school or day care center is evacuated or closed due to a threat of violence.

'AN ACT CONCERNING ISOLATED CONFINEMENT AND CORRECTIONAL STAFF TRAINING AND WELLNESS', to codify procedures concerning isolated confinement, provide for greater transparency concerning isolated confinement and provide training and wellness initiatives for correctional staff.

H.B. No. 7307 (RAISED) JUDICIARY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING THE ALVIN W. PENN RACIAL PROFILING PROHIBITION ACT AND PEDESTRIAN STOPS', to extend the provisions of the Alvin W. Penn Racial Profiling Prohibition Act to cover pedestrian stops and thereby provide a more complete view of racial profiling in a community and to further provide a data-focused view into police interactions with youth who most often encounter law enforcement during such stops.

H.B. No. 7308 (RAISED) JUDICIARY. 'AN ACT CONCERNING A TASK FORCE TO EXAMINE ISSUES CONCERNING THE USE OF BODY-WORN CAMERA AND RECORDING EQUIPMENT BY POLICE', to establish a task force to examine the use of body-worn recording equipment by police.

'AN ACT CONCERNING HUMAN TRAFFICKING', to add the Commissioner of Education to the Trafficking in Persons Council, combat human trafficking through increased penalties, training and awareness and examine the federal Executive Order 13627 Strengthening Protections Against Trafficking in Persons in Federal Contracts for the purpose of implementing similar provisions for this state.

'AN ACT CONCERNING SEX TRAFFICKING', to increase the penalty for patronizing a prostitute who is under eighteen years of age or is a victim of human trafficking and to require a person convicted for more than one violation of patronizing a prostitute to register as a sexual offender.

'AN ACT CONCERNING LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES AND BUSINESS CORPORATIONS', to: (1) Adopt the Uniform Limited Liability Company Protected Series Act; (2) make various revisions to the Connecticut Business Corporation Act that are consistent with the Model Business Corporation Act revised to 2016; and (3) make minor revisions to the Connecticut Uniform Limited Liability Company Act.
