The House of Representatives was called to order at 12:02 o'clock p.m., Representative Godfrey of the 110th District in the Chair.

Prayer was offered by the guest Chaplain, Kate O. Brown, a student at Ox Ridge Elementary School in Darien, Connecticut.

The following is the prayer:

Let us pray. Dear Lord, inspire us in our responses to the pressing needs of Your people. We look to You for guidance so that what we accomplish today may produce a better tomorrow. Amen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Thomas M. Whidden, a student at Ox Ridge Elementary School in Darien, Connecticut.
