NO FISCAL IMPACT

The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.

Section 5 requires the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) to authorize $3 million, apportioned to each electric distribution company (EDC) based on customer load, for credits provided to beneficial accounts for agricultural customer hosts, provided each agricultural host uses certain virtual net metering (VNM), located on dairy farms under certain conditions.

As the authorization is for certain agricultural hosts, using VNM, it is not anticipated to result in increased costs to the state or municipalities as ratepayers.

Other sections of the amendment make changes which do not result in a fiscal impact in FY 18 or FY 19.
