OFA Fiscal Note
NO FISCAL IMPACT
The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.
Section 5 requires Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) to authorize $3 million, apportioned to each electric distribution company based on customer load, for credits provided to beneficial accounts for agricultural customer hosts, provided each agricultural host uses certain virtual net metering (VNM), located on dairy farms. As the additional authorization is for certain agricultural hosts, using VNM, it is not anticipated to result in increased costs to the state or municipalities as ratepayers.
Other sections of the amendment make changes which do not result in a fiscal impact.
The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either chamber thereof for any purpose.
