Explanation

The amendment reduces the potential cost in the underlying bill to certain fully-insured municipal health plans by eliminating the prohibition on step therapy for contraceptives from the underlying bill; thereby allowing the municipal plan to maintain their current step therapy policies regarding contraceptives.
