Explanation

The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.

The amendment requires the Department of Transportation (DOT) to seek approval from the General Assembly before expending state funding for any study or program regarding a mileage-based user fee. The amendment may result in a cost or savings to DOT depending on the outcome of the vote from the General Assembly.
