There is no fiscal impact associated with the amendment, which clarifies that police training programs provided by the Division of State Police and municipalities related to juveniles with intellectual or developmental disabilities must be provided at no cost. The amendment also specifies that the training must be provided in collaboration with institutions of higher education, health care professionals, or advocacy organizations.
To the extent that the specified institutions provide training programs at no cost, there is no fiscal impact. There is a potential cost if these institutions charge fees to provide such training.
