AN ACT CONCERNING APPROVAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT CONTRACTS FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require that any administrative management contract entered into by a local or regional board of education be (1) filed in the office of the town clerk of each town of the school district, (2) posted and published in a newspaper which has a substantial circulation in the towns of the school district prior to the effective date of such contract, and (3) upon submission of a petition, subject to approval at a town meeting in the towns of the school district.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow transparency in the process of approving contracts for management positions negotiated by boards of education.
