AN ACT CONCERNING RANKED-CHOICE VOTING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to establish in each election for a federal, state or municipal office a method of casting and tabulating votes in which voters rank candidates in order of preference, tabulation proceeds in sequential rounds in which last-place candidates are defeated and the candidate with the most votes in the final round is elected.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish ranked-choice voting for federal, state and municipal offices.
