The meeting was called to order at 12:09PM by Chairman, Rep. Tercyak, P. 26

The following committee members were present:

Representative Tercyak recessed the meeting at 12:09 PM and reconvened the meeting at 12:20 PM.

A motion was made by Rep. Rutigliano and seconded by Rep. Esposito to open the agenda and add Items 9-11:

9. An Act Concerning Employees Wages and Disciplinary Suspensions for

Harassment or Workplace Violence

10. An Act Concerning the Labor Department and the Recertification of Employees

11. An Act Concerning Workers' Compensation and Hospital Fees

The motion passed on a voice vote.

Rep. Miner made a motion and seconded by Rep. Vail to exclude Item #2 on the agenda:

2. An Act Concerning Volunteer Fire Departments and Ambulance Companies and

the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Act.

The motion passed on a voice vote.

Senator Osten made a motion seconded by Rep. Miner that each item on the agenda be voted on separately by roll call vote.

Rep. Miner withdrew his second on the motion.

The motion failed.

Rep. Esposito made a motion and seconded by Rep. Rutigliano to raise the following concepts:

1. An Act Concerning the Repeal of Obsolete Reports and Programs Involving the

Labor Department

3. An Act Concerning an Adjustment to the Method for Determining the Maximum

Weekly Unemployment Benefit Rate

4. An Act Increasing the Minimum Fair Wage

5. An Act Concerning Domestic Service and Overtime Pay

6. An Act Concerning Radiologists

7. An Act Concerning Standard Wage

8. An Act Concerning Unionization

9. An Act Concerning Employee Wages and Disciplinary Suspensions for

Harassment or Workplace Violence

10. An Act Concerning the Labor Department and the Recertification of Employees

The motion passed on a voice vote.

Rep. Tercyak asked for a motion to raise Item Number 11 on the agenda:

Rep. Esposito made the motion and seconded by Senator Gomes.

Senator Osten made a motion seconded by Rep. Esposito that Item No. 11 be taken by roll call vote.

The motion passed on a voice vote.

A Roll Call vote was taken: Total Voting –13, Yea – 12, Nay – 1, Absent and Not Voting – 0. The motion passed.

A motion was duly made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:39 PM
