NO FISCAL IMPACT
The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.
Instead the amendment requires the state water plan to include certain recommendations concerning water rates and guidelines on daily water volume restrictions. It requires the Water Planning Council to submit a report to various committees of the General Assembly. The amendment also requires water companies to recognize and implement drought metrics, and prohibits any person or municipality from diverting water from state waters without obtaining water diversion permits. These provisions are not anticipated to result in a fiscal impact.
