MINIMAL STATE AND MUNICIPAL SAVINGS
The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.
Instead, the amendment reduces the paint stewardship assessment by 50%.1 This is anticipated to result to minimal savings to various state agencies and municipalities that purchase architectural paint.

1 Current assessments are: $0.35 for larger than half pint to smaller than 1 gallon;
$ 0.75 for 1 gallons; and $ 1.60 for larger than 1 gallon up to 5 gallons.
