OFA Fiscal Note

MINIMAL STATE AND MUNICIPAL SAVINGS

The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact.

Instead, the amendment reduces the paint stewardship assessment by 50%.1 This is anticipated to result to minimal savings to various state agencies and municipalities that purchase architectural paint.

The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either chamber thereof for any purpose. In general, fiscal impacts are based upon a variety of informational sources, including the analyst's professional knowledge. Whenever applicable, agency data is consulted as part of the analysis, however final products do not necessarily reflect an assessment from any specific department.

1 Current assessments are: $0.35 for larger than half pint to smaller than 1 gallon;

$ 0.75 for 1 gallons; and $ 1.60 for larger than 1 gallon up to 5 gallons.
