OFA Fiscal Note
NO FISCAL IMPACT
The amendment transfers the Office of the Ombudsman (salary cost of $488,825 for one director and three program managers and $100 for associated Other Expenses) from the Department of Children and Families to the Office of the Child Advocate (within the Office of Governmental Accountability) not later than 10/1/16. FY 17 reflects partial year implementation. There is no fiscal impact anticipated from the requirement that the Office of the Ombudsman submit an annual report on complaints and grievances. It is anticipated that staff will remain in their current location.
