Explanation

The amendment requires the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to adopt regulations for the development and placement of signage. While there is no cost associated with the adoption of regulations, there are costs associated with the development of signs, the extent of which depends on how many, and the availability of any federal funds that may be available for this purpose. It is anticipated these one-time costs would be less than $50,000.

The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either chamber thereof for any purpose.
