"AN ACT CONCERNING THE PALLIATIVE USE OF MARIJUANA. "

After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2016) Not later than January 1, 2017, the Department of Consumer Protection shall study the effects of the palliative use of marijuana on the memory, cognitive development and brain function of persons under eighteen years of age and submit a report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to consumer protection and public health. "

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
