AN ACT CONCERNING RADIOLOGICAL AND IMAGING SERVICES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Public Health shall, within available appropriations, study the effect that revisions to the reimbursement methodology for radiological and imaging services effectuated through the Department of Social Services' Medicaid state plan amendment 15-020 has had on patient access to such services, if any. Not later than January 1, 2017, the commissioner shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, on the results of such study. The report shall include, but need not be limited to, recommendations to address any issues of patient access to radiological and imaging services.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Commissioner of Public Health to study and submit a report on the effects, if any, of the revisions to the reimbursement methodology in Medicaid state plan amendment 15-020 on patient access to radiological and imaging services.
