The Connecticut State Firefighters Association supports the bill.

Kidde submitted written testimony in support of the bill. Kidde a leading manufacturer of CO detectors supports this bill because it will save lives.

Connecticut Fire Marshall Association testified in support of the bill. The bill would remove the restrictive type of CO equipment and allow other types of CO equipment to be used.

NATURE AND SOURCES OF OPPOSITION:

The Connecticut Realtors submitted testimony in opposition to the bill. The bill mandates each business to equip its place of business with a carbon monoxide detector and waring system. This legislation creates yet another cost to small businesses.
