The Committee on Appropriations reported through SEN. BYE of the 5th Dist., Chairperson of the Committee on the part of the Senate, that the substitute bill ought to pass.

AN ACT CONCERNING A CAPITOL MEMORIAL FOR WORLD WAR II MERCHANT MARINES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Veterans' Affairs shall, within available appropriations, establish a memorial to honor the members of the Merchant Marine of the United States during the Second World War and place such memorial in a suitable location on the State Capitol grounds.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Explanation
