AN ACT CONCERNING EMPLOYMENT PROTECTIONS FOR AN EMPLOYEE WHO SERVES AS A STATE OR FEDERAL JUROR.

SUMMARY:

This bill prohibits an employer from depriving an employee of his or her employment, or threaten or otherwise coerce the employee with respect to his or her employment, because the employee (1) receives a summons for jury duty, (2) responds to such summons, or (3) serves as a state or federal juror.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2016
