The House of Representatives was called to order at 11: 34 o'clock a. m. , Representative Lemar of the 96th District in the Chair.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

The House of Representatives is now in session. Will all members and guests please rise and direct your attention to our guest chaplain, Mary Alice Hughes of Haddam.

GUEST CHAPLAIN MARY ALICE HUGHES:

Let us pray. Almighty God, who presides over all things in heaven and on earth, graciously hear the prayers of this Body and grant us Your peace in all the days of our lives. Amen.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

And now Mary Alice Hughes, of Haddam, will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

MARY ALICE HUGHES:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Is there any business on the Clerk's desk?

THE CLERK:

Yes, Mr. Speaker. The Clerk has a communication from His Excellency, the Governor, dated March 31, 2015, reappointing the HONORABLE WILLIAM B. RUSH, of Fairfield to be a Judge Trial Referee to serve for a term of eight years from June 7, 2015.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Refer to the Committee on Judiciary.

THE CLERK:

Also, Mr. Speaker, the Clerk has a list of reports to be referred to the committees indicated.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

The Chair recognizes Representative Simmons from the 144th District.

REP. SIMMONS (144th):

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I move that we waive the reading of the list of reports and the reports be referred to the committees indicated.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Is there objection?

Hearing no objection, it is so ordered.

THE CLERK:

Also, Mr. Speaker, the Clerk has a list of favorable reports, House Joint Resolutions, and House Bills to be tabled for the Calendar and printing.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Again, the Chair recognizes Representative Simmons from the 144th.

REP. SIMMONS (144th):

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I move that we waive the reading of House Favorable Reports and the bills and resolutions be tabled for the Calendar and printing.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Is there objection?

Hearing no objection, it is so ordered.

THE CLERK:

Mr. Speaker, there is no further business on the Clerk's desk.

The Chair recognizes Representative Simmons of the 144th.

REP. SIMMONS (144th):

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. There being no further business on the Clerk's desk, I move that we adjourn subject to the Call of the Chair.

SPEAKER LEMAR:

Hearing no objections, the House stands adjourned subject to the Call of the Chair.
