'AN ACT CONCERNING MINOR AND CLARIFYING CHANGES TO THE SUBSIDIZED TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM AND OTHER STATUTES AFFECTING THE LABOR DEPARTMENT', to clarify current language in the STEP program statutes, to prevent otherwise eligible businesses from receiving grants for said program if a new hire is made to replace a current employee or an employee who was terminated without good cause, to change the term "new apprentice" to "preapprentice" to avoid ambiguity within current state and federal laws and regulations, to exclude the state and its political subdivisions from the STEP program and to delete extraneous statutory references regarding wage boards and minimum fair wage orders.

'AN ACT CONCERNING INJURED VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS AND SICK LEAVE BENEFITS', to enable a state employee who is injured while performing his or her duty as a volunteer firefighter to receive his or her accrued sick leave with pay while recuperating from such injury.

'AN ACT CONCERNING GRADUATE ASSISTANT BENEFITS', to provide graduate assistants within the state system of public higher education with access to health insurance and to provide financial relief to graduate assistants by waiving certain student fees.

'AN ACT CONCERNING CRIMINAL RECORDS AND EMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS', to prevent employers from requiring individuals to disclose on an employment application any convictions for a nonviolent misdemeanor that have occurred more than five years prior, to prevent employers from requiring individuals to disclose any criminal history until the employer has determined whether the individual is otherwise qualified for the position and to give aggrieved individuals a cause of action in Superior Court.

'AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENTS', to prohibit public institutions of higher education from placing provisions in collective bargaining agreements that would prevent an employee from seeking a civil or administrative cause of action in favor of arbitration under a collective bargaining agreement.

H.B. No. 6877 (RAISED) LABOR AND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES . 'AN ACT CONCERNING A MINIMUM WORK WEEK FOR PERSONS PERFORMING JANITORIAL WORK', to institute a minimum work week of thirty hours for certain individuals who perform janitorial work at certain locations.

'AN ACT CONCERNING WORKERS' COMPENSATION LIABILITY FOR INDIVIDUALS RECEIVING SERVICES FROM PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANTS', to shift workers' compensation liability for personal care attendants from the consumer to the state by considering such personal care attendants to be state employees for the purposes of chapter 568 of the general statutes.

'AN ACT CONCERNING LARGE CORPORATIONS RECEIVING STATE ASSISTANCE AND EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION', to make any employer that compensates any employee at a rate greater than fifty times that of the employer's average employee ineligible for tax credits, exemptions, abatements or financial assistance from the state.
