"AN ACT CONCERNING THE LEGISLATIVE COMMISSIONERS' RECOMMENDATIONS FOR TECHNICAL AND OTHER CHANGES TO THE INSURANCE AND RELATED STATUTES. "

After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (NEW) (Effective from passage) Not later than thirty days after the effective date of this section, each home health aide, as defined by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification system or any successor system, shall submit to fingerprinting and state and national criminal history records checks, as provided in section 29-17a of the general statutes, at the home health aide's expense. "

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
