AN ACT CONCERNING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A FINANCIAL LITERACY CURRICULUM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

The Department of Education and the Board of Regents for Higher Education, in consultation with the Department of Banking, shall develop a financial literacy curriculum for use by local and regional boards of education.

Statement of Purpose:

To ensure that students of public high schools in the state receive sufficient instruction, information and guidance to improve their financial literacy.
