There is no fiscal impact anticipated from the expansion of mandatory reporting of healthcare-associated-infections to include the number and type of infections acquired in a hospital or other facility that resulted in death, serious injury or serious illness. Similarly, there is no fiscal impact anticipated from the requirement that the Department of Public Health provide links on its website to submitted annual reports and to the Medicare Hospital Compare website.
