The amendment does not result in a fiscal impact to the state or the State Employees' Retirement System (SERS). The amendment establishes certain timeframes and notice requirements for the State Employees' Retirement Commission when denying, reducing, suspending, or terminating retirement benefits. The amendment's provisions may require the approval of the State Employees' Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC).
